Stevens Brook River Clean-Up
Sunday, June 26th 10am - 2pm
Meet at Sunset Meadows in St. Albans
It's that time of year! The snow has finally melted and summer in Vermont is just around the corner. Now that the streams are starting to move again, we can see the litter and trash that has accumulated on its shores. Join the Franklin County Stormwater Collaborative and Friends of Northern Lake Champlain on Sunday, June 26th, at 10am to clean up Stevens Brook! We will be meeting at and commencing clean-up there.
What To Bring:
-
Reusable water bottle - stay hydrated!
-
Trash pickers - if you have them, bring them!
-
Work gloves (Fabric gloves with rubber palms work best).
-
Rubber boots, or waders if you have them, but not necessary - no one is required to get into the stream as the majority of litter is typically along the stream bank edges, access points and walking paths.
-
The event is rain or shine, so dress accordingly!
-
It is recommended to wear long sleeves/pants to protect from tree branches, briars, ticks and other insects.
-
Shoes that you do not mind getting dirty or wet.
-
Hats, sunscreen and bug spray are also recommended.
-
A positive attitude
