About the event
Join Friends of Northern Lake Champlain and Northwest Regional Planning Commission for a stream cleanup along Stevens Brook in Saint Albans.
We'll be at Stevens Brook north of the diversion canal from 9 am to 1 pm; you are welcome to leave at any time.
Parking: For this cleanup, we will park close to the site of the stream cleanup. When you arrive at the address, the owners of Franklin Grand Isle Community Action have graciously allowed us to use their parking lot. Make sure to park on the lefthand side of the parking lot if you are facing the building from the road.
Our efforts will be focused on Stevens Brook as it flows through Saint Albans. Some areas near the brook may be steep, so please use caution at all times.
Bring your friends and family for a rewarding day of environmental stewardship—trash bags and other supplies will be provided! You will want to wear sturdy pants and shoes, clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty, and bring any additional supplies that you may deem necessary (like a water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray, etc.)
