What is Stream Wise? Stream Wise is a new program that engages streamside property owners in the Lake Champlain Basin to enhance and protect vegetated stream buffers, increasing flood resiliency and benefiting water quality and natural habitats. This summer, we are offering free Stream Wise property assessments and recommendations on how to enhance and protect your streamside habitat. All participants will receive a report, resources, and possibly an award for properties with exemplary practices.
