Josh recently relocated to Vermont from a northern suburb of NYC. He has a strong background in horticulture and arboriculture, having previously worked as an arborist and landscape manager in Westchester County, New York. In that role, he designed, installed, and managed residential landscapes. He’s now eager to contribute his skills at FNLC.
Motivated to transition from landscape management to conservation, Josh pursued a Master’s in Environmental Studies from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, where he studied the dynamics between urban and rural landowners in the NYC watershed. He also holds a Bachelor’s in Plant Science from SUNY Cobleskill, concentrating on the environmental and socio-economic benefits of urban trees.
At FNLC, Josh commits to building strong relationships and resilient partnerships while collaborating on water quality projects in Northwest Vermont. A resident of Burlington, he enjoys backpacking, biking, hunting, caring for his orchids, and hiking with his partner, Alyssa, and their dog, Phoebe.
